Baltic Museology school-2015 has finished training week in Siauliai “Aušros” museum, but participants of the BMS are still analyzing and creating a summary and conclusions of the knowledge acquired in order to forward it to their colleagues. Project organizers thank the experienced museologists Martin Schaerer and Francois Mairesse for their long-term cooperation with the BMS and willingness again and again generously share their knowledge and experience with museum people from the three Baltic States. We also thank our Lithuanian colleagues from the Ministry of Culture and “Aušros” Museum, but especially – the Museum of Photography for their responsiveness and excellent organization of the program throughout the week.
The project was possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of Latvia and State Culture Capital Foundation, as well as support of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania, the Ministry of Culture of Estonia and museums interested in continuing training of their employees, therefore the BMS organizers would like to thank all the supporters and express hope that our cooperation will continue in the coming years.
Thinking about the next year’s event, we have received Leontine’s Meijer-van Mensch consent to assume development of the program for BMS-2016 involving her colleagues from the Berlin Museum of European cultures; in turn Cesis History and Art Museum has agreed to become a BMS-2016 collaboration partner, so we can say: See you again in Cēsis in June 2016!
